NEW CONSTRUCTION
FRED MEYER BALLARD
Roofing
System Installed:
ROOFCORP
installed 3.4 inches of rigid insulation covered by a Hi/Tuff EP
Single Ply system.
Challenge:
Most of the materials used on this job were very bulky and it took
around 25 truck loads to deliver them. Because of these two conditions,
it was critical that the loading of materials onto the roof was
well-planned and orchestrated.
Solution:
A lifting device was designed specifically for this project. It
was capable of lifting four items, when the industry's standard
lifting device is capable of loading one. This specially-designed
device helped reduce the amount of time required for loading.
Size:
148,000 SF
Added Value:
ROOFCORP has the ability to significantly increase or reduce the
number of crews working on a specific job, depending on need. For
Fred Meyer Ballard it was important to watertight the building in
the shortest timeframe possible, so that other contractors could
start working. The building was watertight within 5 days.
