RE - ROOFING
PIER 56
Original
System:
Pier 56 had a composition shingle system installed that was torn
off.
Roofing
System Installed:
A vented insulation with a Owens Corning Oakridge II 25-year composition
shingle was installed.
Challenge:
This building is one of Seattle's landmarks, located over the water
by a heavily transited area. Tear off debris could not be allowed
to fall into the water.
Solution:
Delivery of the new roofing materials had to be done at night along
with the stocking of the materials onto the roof. Crews were also
required to work on the pier to prevent blown away materials to
fall into Puget Sound.
Size:
40,000 SF.
Added
Value :
ROOFCORP's
communication between the owner, general contractor and other specialty
contractors was critical to allow all parties to work on the pier
at one time.
